Like PrimeDoc®, the Society of Hospital Medicine was also founded in 1997, and both organizations have enjoyed significant growth. From the beginning, PrimeDoc physicians and affiliates have played a variety of roles in helping to define the hospital medicine movement, supporting SHM by:
- Attending national SHM meetings every year since 1997
- Attending and participating in regional SHM meetings in six different states
- Participating in SHM surveys, committees, discussion groups and specialized clinical and leadership seminars that help shape the future of hospital medicine
PrimeDoc pays SHM membership dues for our hospitalist physicians as a commitment to their continued professional development and in support of the growth of hospital medicine and the efforts of the organization.
